ECSM offers Claims Recovery Services to utility companies experiencing underground and/or aerial damages due to excavation by a third party or due to car accidents involving utility poles and/or wires. This service is offered together with our Damage Investigation Services or separately. Should a utility company choose not to use our Damage Investigation Services, we provide the utility with an ECSM Damage Report Form to be filled out by the utility personnel who respond to the location of damage.
Once ECSM receives a damage report via fax and/or email, our Claim Recovery Specialist begins the process of recovering, for the utility company, the costs associated with the temporary and/or the permanent repairs of its facilities. Armed with the proper information and supporting documentation, our Claim Recovery Specialist can recover the costs that unnecessary damages can cause. If our normal claim recovery procedures do not produce a satisfactory result, ECSM, by means of our attorneys, will pursue claims through the court system.
